I travelled to Abu Dhabi on dialysis and wanted to share how it went, so you know what to expect before you go.
The dialysis care
The dialysis was at the Imperial College London Diabetes and Endocrine Centre. The team was highly professional, and the facilities were top-tier. Honestly, the whole experience felt next level. Abu Dhabi does things on a different level.
The food
This is where they truly blew me away: a proper food menu with a selection of dishes that rotates every single dialysis session, so you never eat the same thing twice. I have travelled a lot, but this was a first.
What it costs
The price is 1500 AED per treatment, which is about 350 euros. On your first treatment, there is also a serology test, about 100 euros extra. So budget for that on the first visit and there will be no surprise.

Would I recommend Abu Dhabi?
Yes. It is Dubai's more elegant neighbor, with grand mosques, pristine boulevards, and a calm confidence all its own. The care was top-tier, and the food was the best we have had on our travels. Highly recommended.
We organise group trips for dialysis patients, so you do not have to plan it all alone.
