I travelled to the Lisbon area on dialysis and wanted to share how it went, so you know what to expect before you go. The center is in Cascais / Estoril, on the coast.
The dialysis care
The center is in Cascais, a charming coastal town just outside Lisbon where the Atlantic is worth a photo. The dialysis was handled by the team at Diaverum: professional, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Exactly what you need when you are far from home.
What it costs
Portugal accepts the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), so if you are an EU patient bring a valid card and it should cover your dialysis. Confirm the details when you book.

Would I recommend Lisbon?
Yes. A kind, professional team and the beautiful Atlantic coast right there.
We organise group trips for dialysis patients, so you do not have to plan it all alone.
