I travelled to Milano on dialysis and wanted to share how it went, so you know what to expect before you go. The center is in Monza near Milano.
The dialysis care
The center is in Monza, just a short trip from Milano, so it is very convenient. One honest tip: it took me a little while to find a nurse who spoke English, but once I did, everything ran smoothly.
The food
They did not hold back on the Italian hospitality: proper Italian paninis.
What it costs
Italy accepts the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), so if you are an EU patient bring a valid card and it should cover your dialysis. Confirm the details when you book.
How to find the dialysis

A medical report with your dialysis plan.
Hepatitis markers (HBsAg, HCV).
Your most recent test results.
A valid European Health Insurance Card.
A passport copy.
They do not have their own form.
Would I recommend Milano?
Yes. It is full of style, culture, and history, the center is convenient. Just be ready that you might need a moment to find an English-speaking nurse.
We organise group trips for dialysis patients, so you do not have to plan it all alone.
