I travelled to Pula on dialysis and wanted to share how it went, so you know what to expect before you go. Pula is a special place for us: the yearly group trips here, organised by the Slovenian kidney patients association ILOS, are what inspired Dialysis Adventures in the first place.
The dialysis care
The center is in the Pula hospital. The care was fine and straightforward. One small thing to know: there is no Wi-Fi in the dialysis center, so bring something to keep yourself busy during the session. There is also free parking, which is handy.
The food
They served a sandwich during dialysis.
What it costs
The price is 210 euros per treatment, or you can use your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). Confirm this when you book.

A dialysis report.
Recent blood test results (not older than 1 month).
Hepatitis markers (not older than 3 months).
Your blood type.
They do not have their own form.
Would I recommend Pula?
Yes. Beautiful Adriatic coast, a famous Roman arena, and the place where our whole story began. Just remember to bring your own entertainment, since there is no Wi-Fi on dialysis.
We organise group trips for dialysis patients, so you do not have to plan it all alone.
